To obtain their Green Marine Europe certification, participants must complete all the requirements of the rigorous and transparent certification process. Focus on one of these stages - the external verification - with CORSICA linea.
Every participant must submit its results to an external verifier accredited by Green Marine Europe. The verification process is carried out in person every two years on the company’s premises and is based on objective evidence provided by the participant to justify their self-assessment.
Green Marine Europe’s Outreach Officer, Romain Benoit, took part in this verification day on May 6 as an observer with the CORSICA linea teams. To conclude the day, Chloé Taverni Sustainable Development Manager CORSICA linea, Romain Benoit, and Green Marine Europe verifier, Nicolas Carion, were welcome by Captain Thomas Quennepoix and Chief Benoît Ryckeboer on board their new vessel A GALEOTTA.
Romain BENOIT: "During the verification shadow, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁. We ensure the accredited verifier is carried out its verification as per our Policy, it demonstrates to the participants the involvement of the Green Marine Europe team and enables us to identify areas for improvement in the verification process in direct contact with participants and verifiers. Chloé Taverni: "Corsica linea has been 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 Green Marine Europe since 2019. We saw our involvement as a natural extension of our commitment to a dynamic energy transition.
