Connecting stakeholders, fostering solutions and accelerating collective progress towards a more credible, practical and sustainable maritime transition.
Green Shipping Day is Green Marine Europe’s annual event dedicated to the environmental transition of maritime transport.
In 2026, the event enters a new phase with a new identity: Green Shipping Day. Hosted at the Port of Nice, this edition aims to establish itself as a leading European gathering for stakeholders committed to transforming the maritime sector.
More than a conference, Green Shipping Day is designed as a strategic forum bringing together shipowners, ports, shipyards, solution providers, financial institutions, European organisations, researchers and environmental stakeholders.
Over its six previous editions, the event has welcomed nearly 600 participants, including 250 attendees in 2025 alone, reflecting its growing influence and maturity.
The 2026 edition will bring together maritime executives, shipowners, ports, shipyards, policymakers, researchers, financial actors and transition experts for a full day of discussions and networking.
This year’s programme will also introduce a new format, featuring two dedicated workshops on resilient ports and marine biodiversity, designed to encourage greater interaction and more operational exchanges among participants.
The day will conclude with a networking reception and walking dinner, providing a privileged setting for informal discussions and relationship building.
Hosted in Nice, Green Shipping Day 2026 will explore several major dimensions of maritime transition:
Green Shipping Day is built on the quality of its discussions, the diversity of its stakeholders and the credibility of its content.
Our sponsorship framework has been designed to preserve this balance. It guarantees Green Marine Europe’s editorial independence, ensures fair networking opportunities and provides visibility aligned with the strategic substance of the event.
To maintain this positioning, the number of partners is intentionally limited, with a maximum of two Blue Horizon Partners, alongside a select number of Ocean Transition Partners and Marine Commitment Partners.
The 2025 edition was supported by leading maritime organisations including Armateurs de France, CFC Croisières, Brittany Ferries, Ponant and Lisnave Shipyard.
