Green Marine Europe is looking for a Program Manager to support the development of its environmental certification program and the growth of its membership.

A key position to support the maritime industry on the path to sustainability

Ideally based in Bordeaux or near a port area, the Program Manager will have the following main missions:

  • Support participants in the implementation of the program and the monitoring of requirements;
  • Coordinate meetings of the advisory committees and working groups;
  • Develop and update the GME program requirements;
  • Promote the initiative and recruit new participants;
  • Establish partnerships with maritime industry stakeholders, research institutions and environmental organizations;
  • Contribute to specific environmental projects, including the European Horizon Europe – CirclesofLife project, focused on circularity and energy efficiency in shipbuilding;
  • Coordinate the verification process in Europe.

 

Profile

The position is aimed at someone with at least five years of experience in project management in the maritime transport, sustainability or related sectors. Expertise in environmental issues, including those addressed by the Green Marine Europe programme, is required.

The candidate must have a university degree in environmental sciences, ship, port, terminal, or shipyard management, or experience in life cycle analysis. Strong communication and project management skills are also essential, as is a perfect command of French and English. A third language is an asset.

Job requirements and application

The position, to be filled in April or May 2025, includes remote and office work, with occasional travel in Europe and internationally.
