Green Marine Europe (GME) continues to expand its network of institutional stakeholders with the membership of the French National Association of Territorial Maritime Ports (ANPMT) as a supporting association.
The arrival of ANPMT within the Green Marine Europe community strengthens the dialogue between our certification framework and the network of French territorial maritime ports, which are key actors in the economic and maritime development of coastal regions. This comes at a particularly relevant time as our framework opens to ports.
ANPMT brings together local authorities and operators managing decentralized maritime ports in France. These ports cover a wide range of activities, including passenger transport, freight, fishing, and leisure boating.
Often located at the heart of port cities, they play a structuring role in coastal economies and territorial dynamics. Together, they account for a significant share of national maritime traffic, particularly in passenger transport.
At the intersection of economic activities, local authorities, and coastal ecosystems, territorial maritime ports are directly confronted with several major challenges: climate change adaptation, decarbonisation of infrastructure and maritime activities, marine environment management, and the coexistence between port operations, tourism, and urban life.
By joining Green Marine Europe as a supporting association, ANPMT contributes to strengthening exchanges between port authorities, shipowners, shipyards, and the broader European maritime ecosystem.
