Geoquip Marine joins Green Marine Europe to strengthen its environmental strategy

Geoquip Marine has joined our environmental certification program. Following Hovertravel, it is now the second British ship owner to join our community. A leading global player in offshore geotechnical surveys, Geoquip Marine operates a fleet of six specialised drilling vessels, serving predominantly the offshore renewable energy sector in particular.

Combining technical excellence, high safety standards, and a strong commitment to sustainability, Geoquip Marine stands out for its determination to place the environment at the heart of its business.

An environmental strategy already in place

Certified ISO 14001 and rated by EcoVadis, the company is actively working to measure and reduce its environmental footprint, with a focus on:

• reducing Scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions (direct emissions, indirect emissions related to energy, other indirect emissions),
• energy efficiency in its operations and fleet,
• and responsible waste management.

Current initiatives include:

• implementing a decarbonisation plan for its vessels and facilities;
• Implementing waste reduction measures and sustainability initiatives across the fleet;
• a partnership with the Blue Marine Foundation, supporting marine conservation ; research into blue carbon capture and storage, and environmental volunteering by its employees.
