Baleària joins Green Marine Europe

Baleària is the first Spanish shipping company participating in Green Marine Europe environmental certification program. It is the leading shipping group in Spain, with 25 years of history in the maritime transport of passengers, vehicles and goods.

Grouped under the slogan "Green Course", its solutions are based on variety and innovation: energy mix, tools for managing fuel consumption and analysing ship itineraries and manoeuvres, as well as the condition of hulls, propellers and engines, to optimise navigation and therefore have less impact on the environment, feasibility studies for certifiable carbon offsetting projects in posidonia meadows and Spanish marshes, sustainable finance with its participation in the Poseidon Principles, circular economy and recycling, etc. Its aim is to achieve zero-emission shipping by 2050.
