The International Electric Marine Association (IEMA), a new supporting association of Green Marine Europe

The International Electric Marine Association (IEMA) is joining Green Marine Europe as a supporting association member.

The International Electric Maritime Association (IEMA) is the global trade association for electric and hybrid propulsion in shipping. It brings together the companies designing, building, integrating, and operating technologies driving maritime decarbonization - from energy storage and shore power to autonomous and unmanned systems - representing a rapidly evolving ecosystem at the core of the sector’s transformation.

Its integration into Green Marine Europe highlights the growing role of electric solutions in decarbonisation pathways. It also reflects the program’s intention to broaden its network to organisations capable of providing advanced technical expertise and a forward-looking perspective on ongoing industrial developments.

By joining Green Marine Europe’s community of practice, IEMA will contribute to peer exchange, the dissemination of best practices, and the further development of frameworks increasingly aligned with the sector’s operational and technological realities.
