The International Electric Marine Association (IEMA), a new supporting association of Green Marine Europe

The International Electric Marine Association (IEMA) is joining Green Marine Europe as a supporting association member.

An international trade association based in Spain, IEMA brings together companies that design, develop and deploy electric and hybrid propulsion technologies for shipping. It represents a rapidly structuring ecosystem at the core of the sector’s transformation, spanning energy storage solutions, shore power systems, and autonomous and unmanned maritime technologies.

Its integration into Green Marine Europe highlights the growing role of electric solutions in decarbonisation pathways. It also reflects the program’s intention to broaden its network to organisations capable of providing advanced technical expertise and a forward-looking perspective on ongoing industrial developments.

By joining Green Marine Europe’s community of practice, IEMA will contribute to peer exchange, the dissemination of best practices, and the further development of frameworks increasingly aligned with the sector’s operational and technological realities.
