ECOSENS Joins Green Marine Europe as a Supporter

October 13, 2026

Green Marine Europe welcomes a new supporter: ECOSENS, a Marseille-based organisation committed to the circular economy.

Since 2020, ECOSENS has been supporting the development of new economic value chains by bringing together businesses, public authorities and local organisations.

Its ambition is to turn underused resources into concrete opportunities for economic, environmental and social development.

Coordinating Resources at the Local and Regional Level

ECOSENS identifies available resources, often mistakenly considered waste, and brings together the right stakeholders to develop structured value chains, prioritising reuse wherever possible and recycling where necessary.

The objective is to move beyond good intentions and create operational, sustainable and profitable industrial value chains that can be replicated elsewhere.

Its main areas of expertise include:

  • Waste prevention and recovery, treating waste as a resource
  • Tactical multimodal logistics
  • Economy of Functionality and Cooperation (EFC)
  • Industrial and Territorial Ecology (ITE)

This expertise is directly relevant to the maritime and port sectors.

In Marseille, ECOSENS is notably leading the new Waste Cluster at the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, demonstrating the potential of the circular economy to reduce the environmental impact of maritime activities and create new local synergies. This approach also places ports at the heart of solutions for the Blue Economy.

By joining Green Marine Europe, ECOSENS brings complementary expertise in circular economy practices and local stakeholder cooperation - two essential drivers for strengthening connections between waste producers, local recovery and recycling value chains, and industries seeking secondary raw materials.
